I picked this up for one of my laptops that tends to run hot when I'm putting it under a heavy load. Whether I'm running virtual machines, compiling code, editing video, or doing other CPU-intensive work, this cooler has made a noticeable difference in keeping temperatures under control. The first thing I noticed is just how much air it moves, likely why it's so heavy. The sealed design does a great job directing airflow through the bottom of the laptop, and it cools much more effectively than the typical cooling pads with a handful of small fans.I was also pleasantly surprised by the noise level. Even at higher speeds, it's actually quieter than the tiny cooling fans inside my laptop. You can definitely hear it when it's running at full speed, but it's more of a smooth airflow sound than an annoying high-pitched whine. The build quality feels very solid. It has a heavy-duty feel, the adjustable stand is sturdy, and the memory foam seal helps maximize airflow instead of letting it escape around the edges. The dedicated AC power adapter is another nice touch since it delivers full performance without draining the laptop's battery or tying up USB power. The three-level height adjustment also makes it more comfortable to use for long periods, and the extra USB ports are handy for connecting a mouse, keyboard, or other peripherals. The RGB lighting is there if you like that sort of thing, but I was more interested in the cooling performance.Overall, this is an excellent cooling pad for laptops that regularly run hot or spend a lot of time under heavy workloads. It's well built, moves a tremendous amount of air, runs quieter than I expected, and does a great job keeping temperatures under control. Kind of expensive, but it also provides a lot of cooling.
Best for people who want stronger laptop airflow, flexible viewing angles, and a raised desk setup. One Thing to Know Before BuyingThe fans are noticeable at higher speeds. I also saw only a small temperature improvement, so do not expect a dramatic drop from every laptop.Build QualityI found the llano V11 Pro sturdy enough to support my laptop without feeling unstable. The platform held its position while raised, and the adjustment points felt secure during use. This matters because a cooling pad also works as a laptop stand. Weak hinges or a shaky base make typing and screen positioning frustrating.Ease of UseSetup was simple.I placed my laptop on the pad, adjusted the height and angle, and selected the airflow level I wanted. The controls felt straightforward during normal use. I did not need a long setup process before putting it to work.Cooling PerformanceI noticed a small temperature improvement during my test. The change was present, but it was not dramatic. Buyers should keep expectations realistic since cooling results depend on laptop design, vent placement, workload, and room temperature. For my use, the pad helped more with steady airflow than major temperature reduction.AdjustabilityThe height and angle options were flexible.I found a position which raised the screen and made my desk setup more comfortable. This matters for buyers who spend long periods at a laptop. Better screen height helps reduce the need to lean forward during work or gaming.AirflowWhat stood out to me was the airflow. The pad moved a strong amount of air across the underside of my laptop. I noticed a clear difference compared with leaving the laptop flat on the desk.Strong airflow matters most for laptops with bottom intake vents. A poor vent match will reduce the benefit.Noise LevelThe fans were noticeable.Higher airflow comes with more sound, and the V11 Pro does not hide it. The noise was acceptable for gaming or headphone use, but less suited to a quiet office or recording space. This tradeoff matters because buyers often focus on cooling performance and forget they will hear the cooling pad throughout the session.ReliabilityThe pad delivered steady airflow during my testing.I did not perform a long-term durability test, so I cannot judge how the fan will perform after months of daily use.During normal testing, the airflow remained consistent and the adjustments stayed in place.Value for the MoneyCompared with basic flat cooling pads, the V11 Pro offers stronger airflow and better height adjustment.Less expensive cooling pads make more sense for buyers who want mild airflow and quiet operation. This model offers better value for users who also need a raised stand and stronger ventilation.I found the value good, but not automatic. The small temperature improvement means much of the value comes from airflow and adjustability rather than cooling alone. If Mine Broke TomorrowIf mine broke tomorrow, I would buy it again for a gaming or work setup where strong airflow and flexible positioning matter more than silence.I would not buy it only for a major temperature drop. That’s my take. Use it well.
Laptop cooling is a "must" during the summer. With utility prices climbing, especially during the day, we've been keeping our home set to at least 75F if not higher. While okay for our bodies, it is not necessarily good for our laptops. I have been using a soft, rubberized, wedge shaped, cooling platform for several years, but finally the motors gave out, warranting replacement. Here are some things I really like about this cooling pad:1. Between the larger motor (hopefully means longer lifespan) and the foam rubber gasket, this cooling pad MOVES a lot of air - at 40 it is sufficient2. The rolling control is simply fun - feels like something that would be on a train or nuclear power plant control board3. The back feet are nice for angling my laptop when it is on the monitor stand - this is a big upgrade from the "wedge" I have been using for several years4. The size is absolutely perfect for my 15.6" business laptop5. The construction feels premium (although it is a little more for the gamer than the office worker)6. The filters are a GREAT idea - my old cooling wedge likely failed because of dust getting into the fan intakes and putting strain on the motorThere are several improvements I could see this product with that would make it better:A. While claiming to be quieter, any speed over 40 seems to make the device sound like a small aircraft engine or drone - not precisely the best for an office environmentB. While this cooling pad is supposed to be "Pro" it is also listed as being for a "Gaming Laptop" - I usually think of Pro as being for business purposes - the lighting is not really for a business, but does add some classC. I am concerned that the single motor does not provide redundancy in case of failureD. The cable provided for the 12V power supply needs to be at least a meter (about 3 feet) longer - just not enough for most desksE. This device could be made thinner with better quality muffin fans, like they use for servers - the bulkiness makes it less likely that I will move this from place to place, and I had to reduce the height of my monitor stand by at least an inch to accommodate the laptop screen at eye level - bulk, in this case, does not make it betterF. USB 2.0 Type A in 2026? While it is neat to have a few added ports, a better hub would have at least one USB-C port, and USB 3.2 Type As, which would make this an even better and more useful cooling padOverall, for the price, this is a really nice cooling pad. Could it be made better with a solid state cooling unit? Sure, but probably at a lot more added cost. I appreciate that this product, like most Llano products, comes with a one year warranty, since there is a single motor and I have to run it most of the time. However, I like that they researched out the design carefully, and my laptop does run a lot cooler and more efficiently with the heat being vented away. This product actually does what it says it will do - nice for a change!
This cooling pad works great with my MacBook Pro. When I’m doing some heavy photo or video edits, my MacBook really starts to heat up and i can see some performance loss. This cooling pad prevents my MacBook from even getting warm. It looks a lot heavier than it actually is and almost feels toy like when handled yet is very powerful and efficient at cooling. It is simple to use. Plug it up, lift the retaining clips in the front, sit your laptop down, adjust your fan speed and start working. The scroll wheel makes it very simple to set your fan speed. The LED lights give your laptop a gamers vibe and looks pretty cool as well as offers some surround light if you work in dimly lit areas such as myself. It has some expansion ports in the back for usb. It has a replaceable filter to prevent the cooler from blowing excessive dust for laptops that have expose ventilation. There are also feet on the bottom that gives your laptop a nice tilt and improves ergonomics. Great laptop cooling pad but i do wish it was about 1”-1.5” shorter so that it would easily fit into my laptop bag for travel and work, but is still a great option for the house and office.
The llano V11 Pro is an impressive laptop cooling pad that delivers noticeably stronger cooling performance than the typical multi-fan cooling stands. Instead of relying on several small fans, it uses a large 4.7-inch turbofan that pushes a substantial amount of air through a sealed foam gasket, directing airflow exactly where it’s needed. During gaming sessions and other demanding workloads, my laptop stayed noticeably cooler, helping reduce thermal throttling and keeping fan noise from the laptop itself more manageable. The adjustable fan speed lets you balance cooling performance and noise depending on what you’re doing. At lower speeds it’s relatively quiet for everyday use, while the higher settings provide a significant boost in airflow for gaming, video editing, or other processor-intensive tasks. The adjustable stand also makes it more comfortable to use for long periods, improving both ergonomics and airflow underneath the laptop. The built-in RGB lighting adds a nice gaming aesthetic without being overdone, and the three-port USB hub is a welcome convenience for connecting peripherals while keeping your workspace organized. The dust-filtering design is another thoughtful addition that should help reduce dust buildup inside the laptop over time.Build quality feels solid overall, and it accommodates larger laptops up to 17.3 inches without feeling unstable. While the cooling pad is bulkier than basic portable models, that’s expected given the larger turbofan and sealed cooling design.Overall, this is an excellent choice for gamers, content creators, or anyone who regularly pushes their laptop under heavy workloads. If maximum cooling performance is your priority, the V11 Pro stands out from conventional cooling pads and is a worthwhile upgrade.
