Llano 5-in-1 Card Reader

This was a fantastic purchase! I had some really old bulky cards from photos in 2005, and had no way to read them! This was an easy plug and play!

I use both CFexpress Type A and SD cards in my daily shoots, so this card reader fits my needs perfectly. I regularly transfer hundreds of gigabytes of video files, and this reader works flawlessly. I had no issues connecting and running the reader on my MacBook Pro. The transfers were lightning quick and trouble-free every time.The construction of the reader is decent and well-made. Materials are of good quality. The reader does feel a little lightweight, which gives me a sense of cheapness. However, the fit and finish are actually very well put together and nicely designed. Speaking of design, I'm not a fan of the fake camera lens sticker on top. It's cheesy and conveys a vibe that this reader is not a serious, reliable professional tool. As a card reader, that's not a good vibe to have. Anyway, it's not a dealbreaker, but just wanted to mention it.Overall, this is a very capable card reader for the 2 different card formats I use daily. Transfer is reliable and fast. For the price, this is a very good choice. Just ignore the fake camera lens sticker :D

I’ve been testing out this llano 5 in 1 Micro SD Card Reader paired with a high-speed card, and overall, it’s a very capable and well-built hub.The Good: Once plugged into a proper rear motherboard I/O port using a high-quality cable, it easily pushes solid real-world transfer rates (around 80 MB/s copying from local NVMe). Being able to read multiple card slots simultaneously without dropouts or stability issues is fantastic for workflow.The Catch: If you plug it into certain front-panel case USB-C or internal header ports, speeds can flatline down to ~36 MB/s regardless of the source drive. That's a routing/bandwidth limitation of the case header rather than the reader itself, but it's worth noting so you don't mistake it for defective hardware.Solid 4-star device (would give it a 4.5 if half-stars were a thing!). Highly recommended for photographers and creators who need multi-card access, just make sure you feed it proper USB 3.x motherboard bandwidth to let it stretch its legs.
